Mandate

The Ministry of ICT and Innovation is mandated to develop and disseminate national policies, strategies and programs to promote ICT and Innovation, as well as the monitoring and evaluation of their implementation. The day-to-day business of the Ministry is run through three key directorates, namely the Digital Transformation Directorate General, the Future Planning Directorate General, and the Innovation & Emerging Technologies Directorate General. Additionally, the Ministry runs a program dubbed Innovation and ICT Private Sector development. 

Digital Transformation Directorate General

The Digital Transformation Directorate General focuses on sector policy orientation and interpretation on ICT and Skills development.

Affiliated Agencies

MINICT has a vision to foster ICT development and diffusion in the Rwandan Society and Economy. To achieve its mission, the Ministry works closely with the following affiliated agencies in the implementation of its policies and programs.
