Minister Paula Ingabire officially opened the 2nd edition of the India-Africa ICT Expo and Conference.

Under the theme ‘Digital Transformation: Key to sustaining growth post Covid-19’, the two days event is taking place online.

“Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) have the potential to transform businesses, governments’ service delivery across African countries, the potential to drive entrepreneurship, innovation and economic growth.” Said Minister Ingabire.

She emphasized on the importance of international and multilateral collaboration to fully benefit of ICT's potential.

“If together as governments and private sector we continue to partner in putting in place the right foundations, the internet will transform our economy in various sectors such as agriculture, retail, healthcare, education…” Added Minister Ingabire.
